Donald (Don) Hanson Obituary

Donald John Hanson, 85, died July 5, 2020 of natural causes.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Evelyn Hanson; his son, Rob Hanson; and his grandson, Ty/Chip Garcia.

He loved his wife, Lesley; his daughters, Terri (Danny) Spitznagel, Linda Hanson;daughter-in-love Leslie Hanson; sons Rich (Patti), and Mike (Heather) Calvert; many grandchildren; and great grandchildren.

As a United States Air Force fuel systems crew chief, Don served his country with distinction for many years, including the Korean and Vietnam wars, retiring in 1972.

Don never knew a stranger. Whether at a coffee shop, a checkout line, or wherever - He loved to tell his jokes to young and old alike!

He loved his savior, Jesus, and served passionately in Kairos prison ministry for many years. As a member of the home-spun music group "Joyful Noise," he shared his love for Jesus with so many.

His favorite saying was "God's way, God's time."

A Celebration of his life will be held on a future date when circumstances allow.
