Mother Willie Mae Primous gained her wings on March 20, 2026, at 1:56 pm, in her home, surrounded by her loved ones.
Willie Mae was born in Fayette Mississippi on February 6, 1931, to the late Howard and Katherine Trimble Chambliss. She was the third of Nine children born to this union.
Mother Primous was baptized at an early age, but she was not complete. She wanted to know more about the goodness of God and felt she was not complete until she gave her life to Jesus at the age of 14 under the family famous oak tree.
Mother Primous was married to the late Rev Dudley Primous, Jr., on May 7, 1953. This marriage produced five children.
Mother Primous loved spending time in her garden, helping others, and even enjoyed her first plane ride at the age of 95 years old.
Mother Primous was preceded in death by; husband, Rev. Dudley Primous Jr, son, Dudley Primous III, brother Rev Robert Chambliss, sisters, Stella Scott, Helen Reed, Emma Chambliss, and Eloise Tenner, brother, Charles Chambliss, and son-in-law Dea. Kenneth Rhodes, Sr.
Mother Primous leaves to rejoice her home going; sisters, Bessie (Charles) Cleveland of Jackson Mississippi and Exelena Martin, of Vicksburg Mississippi, daughters Della Rhodes, Marilynn (Horace) Bouvay, Valeria Primous, son, Kent Primous, grandchildren Steven Bouvay, Dr. Kamali (Mikhel) Hawkins, of Cincinnati Ohio, Esic Rhodes III, Kenisha (Eric) Jones, Ivy Slaton, Kenneth “DJ” (Karina) Rhodes, and Gordon Crosby of Los Angles, California . She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, her “adopted” children, Sheena & Bruce Tapp, Minister Maxine Reed, Peggy Jones, Jackie Ponder, Rev. & Mrs. Scottie L Thigpen, and Brenda Foster, and special friends, Beverly McKinnon, Mary Warren, Ollie Rouse. Rev John & Elizabeth Rhodes, Gladys Ballesteros.
