William A. Miller Obituary

William A. “Bill” Miller passed away at his home in DeFuniak Springs, Florida Saturday, September 15, 2018.  Bill was born January 21, 1933 in Tampa, Florida and resided there until he retired from Cargill Fertilizer Company.  After retiring in 1997, he moved his family to DeFuniak Springs.  Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one sister.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Carolyn Miller; two sons, Darrell Miller and wife Polly and Paul Miller; one grandson, William “Dooter” Miller; and many nephews, nieces, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2018 beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Committal services will follow in Gum Creek Cemetery.  Those asked to serve as pallbearers:  Dooter Miller, Richard Mitchem, Tommy Manning, David Murphy, Michael Mitchem, and Gavin Prue.

Arrangements and services are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home.
