William Tippetts Obituary

William Blake "Tip" Tippetts, passed away April 23, 2022 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He was born August 30,1950, in Tacoma, Washington at Madigan Army Hospital to Lynn May Tippetts and Beatrice Ann Moorehead Tippetts. Tip spent his youth in Tacoma, hanging out with his many cousins and with his beloved grandparents, Theodore and Josephine Moorehead.  While in high school, Tip was on the downhill ski team and spent his free time with his best friend, Kenny Wold. When Tip was 18 years old, he joined the United States Air Force and traveled all over the world to Turkey, Thailand, Korea, England, Virginia, Idaho and finally retiring in Navarre, Florida. In 1973, when he was stationed at Grissom Air Force Base, he met and married Karen and together they raised three children. They spent many years camping, being outside and going out on the boat to Crab Island. Tip will be remembered most for his quick wit, his love of old rock, classic cars, and “telling lies with the guys.”

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen; his parents; and his brother, Gary.

Tip is survived by his children, Kris (Kenny), Scott, and Lisa (Shannon); grandchildren, Kim (Charlie), Kasey (Jason), and Cody (Casey); great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Jaycie, Parker, and Penny; siblings, Brian (Robert) and Korel; and many friends that he considered family.

In honor of Tip's wishes, his ashes will be spread with his wife, Karen's ashes in a ceremony at a later date.
