William Lee Scott- SMSgt-(Air Force Retired)
William Lee Scott was born August 24, 1932 in Willow Shade, KY and went to be with the Lord September 5, 2021 at age 89. He served 22 years in the USAF as Jet Propulsion Chief. He served 12 years as Air Conditioning Mechanic in Civil Service. From 1989 to 1999 he served his Lord in Church Starting for the Florida Baptist Convention. His heart’s desire was to win people to Christ. He wanted to be known as Missions Director at First Baptist Church Mary Esther. He lived to bring people to Christ here in the US and in foreign countries. He preached on 6 mission trips overseas.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marian Shultz Scott of Fort Walton Beach, FL; his daughter, Sandra Schoch (Stephen) of Louisville, KY; son, Steven Scott (Zondra) of Lexington, TN; his brother, James I. Scott of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, David Scott (Liz), Jeremy Scott, Will Scott, (Allie) Janine Scott, Alex Schoch, (Meghann) Melissa Schoch, Jace Scott; great grandchildren, MaKensie Greason, Thomas Scott, William Scott and Elowen Scott. He was predeceased by his parents, Oscar and Anis Scott of Radcliffe, KY; and 2 brothers, Andy and Tony.
A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, September 12, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Mary Esther, 28 North Street, Mary Esther, Florida, 32569 beginning at 3:00 p.m. A Visitation will take place an hour prior at 2:00 p.m.
