William Wayne Morris

William (Bill) Wayne Morris, 76, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 28, 2022, with his family by his side.

He was born on January 3,1946, in Humboldt, Tennessee. Bill was one of four children born to William Russell and Hazel Irene Morris. After High School, he married his wife of 59 years, Janie, joining the Air Force and spending the next 20 years in the service of his country. After retiring from Active Duty in the Air Force, where he did tours from Vietnam to England, he joined the Civil Service as an Aircraft Mechanic at Eglin Air Force Base.  After retiring from the Civil Service in 2002, he spent his time in various pursuits from Fishing, Reading, Dancing, and spending time with his favorite dogs, B.J. and Tiki.

Bill is survived by his wife, Janie Sue Morris; son, David (Elisa) Morris; sister, Barbara (Glenn) Gurley; and grandson, Chancellor (Nikki) Morris.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Davis-Watkins Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Burial Service will be held at Beal Memorial Cemetery on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.
