William August Blansky, III, age 76, of Crestview, Florida, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at North Okaloosa Medical Center. He was born September 8, 1945 in Fort Pierce, Florida. William was Catholic by faith and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Crestview, Florida. From his earlier years as an Eagle Scout, to his later years moving household goods for military families for over twenty years, William was a hard worker who was very talented with his hands. He enjoyed building model tanks, planes, and ships in his spare time and completed many lego projects.
William was preceded in death by his parents, William August, Jr. and Frances Marie Blansky; grandmother, Louise Harris; and uncle, Joe Harris.
He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-eight years, Cheryl Ann Blansky; two brothers, Sid Crater and wife Cindy of St. Amant, Louisiana and George Crater of Reserve, Louisiana; two sisters, Amber Monteiro of Ft. Worth, Texas and Connie Sliker of Milton, Florida; two aunts, Mary Beth Nicolson of Maryland and Patricia Harris of Crestview, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 10, 2022 in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Crestview Memorial, 492 East Pine Avenue, Crestview, Florida 32539, beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Roy Marien officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Committal services will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery.
