Wendy Menser Daughtery

Wendy Menser Daughtery, age 55, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 10, 2022 at her residence.  She was born August 27, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois to Lonnie and Kathleen Menser.  Wendy was a strong-willed woman that loved her family fiercely, especially her wonderful grandbabies. She had a heart of gold and willingness to help others. If you were loved by her or knew her, you were truly blessed. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jeff Daughtery; and one son, Shelby Freeman.

Wendy is survived by her son, Clay Walters and wife, Tabatha; two daughters, Kayla McClelland and husband Randall, and Jessica Lewis and husband Codi; six grandchildren, Maleena and Braxton Walters, Harper McClelland, Blakely, Bailey and Bryson Lewis; one sister, one brother, four nephews, one niece, and many close friends and family.

"Though you left us far too soon, the memories you gave us filled with laughter and love will always be with us. We will miss you dearly, but will seek peace knowing that you are at peace with God. Your spirit shall live on."

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022 in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433, beginning at 3:00 p.m.  A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Committal services will follow at Cluster Springs Cemetery.

Those serving as pallbearers are Randall McClelland, Codi Lewis, Brent Oliver, Donald Oliver, Buddy Menser, and Kevin Burgess.
