Wade Thomas Garrett

Wade Thomas Garrett, age 70, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, passed from this life Friday, August 5, 2022 at his home. He was born November 8, 1951 in Mooresville, North Carolina to Harvey and Ollie Mae Brackett Garrett. Wade was a simple man who loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed playing golf, deer hunting, and especially fishing. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey D. Garrett, Sr. and Ollie Garrett; his brother, Roger Garrett; and his sister, Sara Aurther.

Wade is survived by his brother, Harvey Garrett, Jr., one sister, Geneva Wright; two sons, Wayne Garrett and wife Julie, and Robert Garrett and wife, Nina; many grand children, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2022, beginning at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433. A time of visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Committal services will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
