Vincent Burden ascended this life here Saturday, April 3, 2021 at his home. He was born June 15,1962 in Mobile, Alabama to Doris and Neal Bason, Jr. He and his siblings were later moved to Crestview, Florida where attended Crestview High School. After graduating high school, Vincent proudly made the decision to serve his country and joined The United States Army and eventually ended his military career as a MSGT in The United States Air Force. Between those enlistments, Vincent also worked as a first responder with the Crestview Fire Department and an employee with the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He was also a part of the Hurricane Hunter Crew in Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi.
His upbringing by his parents and the discipline taught through military training, collectively, created the poised professional man we all knew and love still today. Vincent was currently employed at Eglin Air Force Base radar facility until his health failed. He was a respected and loving friend in the community. His confidence filled every room he entered. His unfaltering energy and determination matched his intellect and agility. He will be forever missed as a loving gentleman and an avid fan of the University of Miami Hurricanes football team. He would argue with you for hours defending his football team. Vincent is preceded in death by his parents Doris and Neal Bason Jr.
He leaves a loving and devoted family to cherish his memory, one daughter Vlia Day (Shaquille); one son Carlos Thomas of El Paso, Texas; and one grandson; brothers, Michael Burden of Mobile, Alabama, Gregory Burden (Sherry) of Pensacola, Florida, Tony Burden of Birmingham, Alabama, and Kenneth Bason of Crestview, Florida; sisters, Anita Burden of Overton, Monica Daniels, Arlene Burden Presley and Phyllis Bason Berry, all of Crestview, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In appreciation, we the family wish to express the immense gratitude for your support in our time of sorrow. Although it is challenging, we find comfort in the fact that you are thinking of us. Your thoughts and prayers are truly gratifying.
Special acknowledgments to our brother, Kenneth Bason for the nurturing love and care given to our brother, Vincent from the time his health failed until his last breath. We sincerely love and appreciate you.
