Victor Wayne Deal

Victor Wayne Deal, 76, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Boligee, Alabama, passed away on April 27, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones.

Vic was born on October 28, 1944 to Ray and Margie Deal in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. After graduating from Choctawhatchee High School in 1962, Vic continued his education at The University of Florida.  After 7 years of fraternity shenanigans and a 2.0 GPA, Vic somehow managed to earn an undergraduate degree in Advertising.

After graduation, Vic returned to Fort Walton Beach and began “seeking his fortune” as a Real Estate Developer.  In 1973, he met Shirli on a blind date and knew immediately that she was his soulmate.  After several proposals, Shirli finally agreed to be his wife.  During their 46 years of marriage, Vic and Shirli were blessed with 3 wonderful children.

Vic felt his greatest accomplishment was passing his faith on to his children.  He was a devoted Christian, loving spouse, and supportive father.  Everyone who knew Vic knew of his kindness and generosity, although he was probably best known for his practical jokes and hilarious sense of humor. 

Vic was a former President of the All Sports Association, former President of the YMCA, a member of the Okaloosa Island Authority, and a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Fort Walton Beach.  When Vic wasn’t watching Fox News, he enjoyed catching mullet, deer hunting, Gator football, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Vic is survived by his wife, Shirli Deal; children, Aaron Deal (Nikki), Kristin Cloud (Justin), and Bethany Donegan (Michael); grandchildren, Maddox Gentry and Rylee Deal; sister, Kim Deal Cauley; nieces, LaBeth Laird (Rich), Kristina Laird, Kaitlynn Deal, Parrish Sylvester; nephew, Gregory Deal; Close Family Friend and Godfather to his children, Oliver Schley, and Jeffrey Green, who was like a son to him.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Margie Deal and his brother, Greg Deal.

His family, friends, and Miller Lite Beer are devastated by the loss of Vic.  A Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church on Monday May 3, 2021 at 1:00pm followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 p.m. and Graveside Services at Brooks Memorial Cemetery.
