Tiffany Smith Obituary

Tiffany M. (Holloway) Smith, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from natural causes.   The Smith-Holloway families were still mourning the loss of Tiffany’s husband, Roy L. Smith, who had recently passed away on March 22, 2019, after battling brain cancer for several years.  Sadly, two days later her grandfather “Poppa”, Rhuel Sperry, passed away on April 26, 2019.  Tiffany was preceded in death by her father, William “Bill” Holloway; grandparents, Ed and Christine (Mrozinski) Holloway; and father- in- law, Jimmy Smith.

Tiffany and Roy are survived by their two children, Kellie and Tyler (Amber) Smith and grandson, Mason Vanhorn.  Also to survive and mourn her loss are her mother, Karen (Sperry) Holloway; sister, Jennifer (Randall) Corey; brothers, Justin Holloway and Travis Holloway; nieces, Sabrina Daughtry, Bailey Corey, Paytan Holloway; nephew, Keaton S. Corey, all of DeFuniak Springs; loving and nurturing grandmother aka. “Nanny” Audrey (Leaper) Sperry; mother- in- law, Carol Smith; brother- in -law, Jammey Smith; and sister- in- law, Melissa (Joe) Daughtry.

Tiffany was born at Eglin AFB, Florida on February 29, 1976, first born child of William “Bill” and Karen (Sperry) Holloway.  She was not only a “Leap Year Baby”, she was also the first grandchild on both sides and brought all years of sweetness and happiness.  As a newborn, Tiffany was blessed having both sets of grandparents on the same street her parents lived on, as well as special neighbors that fussed over, spoiled and loved her.  As a young child, her parents moved the family from Niceville to DeFuniak Springs, Florida, where Tiffany continued to make lifelong friends, graduated Walton High, and grew into adulthood.  It was here she meet her husband Roy and would marry on June 15, 1996.  Tiffany was later employed at Chautauqua Rehab and Nursing Home in DeFuniak Springs, her extended family, where she was loved and highly appreciated.  It was out their love and concern that morning that we learned of Tiffany’s passing.

Throughout Tiffany’s short life, one thing never changed and that was her sweetness, kind heartedness and gentleness.  Maybe this explains why she absolutely loved the film classic, “The Wizard of Oz”.  When given the chance, she would watch it over and over again.  Tiffany also loved making crafts some she sold and others as gifts.  Her uniqueness and love could be seen in her arts and crafts.

After the loss of her husband, Tiffany was facing her new life head on with much hope and love, reconnecting with family and making plans for the future. Tiffany was a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister, and granddaughter.  She will be extremely missed and loved forever in our hearts and lives.

A “Celebration of Tiffany’s Life” will be on May 21, 2019 at the DeFuniak Springs Community (Civic) Center located at 361 N 10th Street DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433 from 6 pm to 8 pm.  All are welcome to attend.
