Thomas William Morris, 85, passed away peacefully at home with his family in Shalimar, Florida on September 3, 2023. He was born January 13,1938 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to parents, Edward and Edna Morris.
Thomas was married to Anna J. Morris, his beautiful wife of sixty-three years, living in Wheeling, West Virginia, Canton, Ohio, and Shalimar, Florida. From 1955 until 1963, he proudly served his country in the United States Naval Reserves. Thomas retired with American Electric Power after over forty years of dedication.
In his spare time,Thomas enjoyed sailing (20-year member at Fort Walton Beach Yacht Club; FWBYC), model airplanes, HAM radio (amateur radio call sign- K8BCJ), and volunteered as an Okaloosa County Florida Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member.
A faithful member of the Church of Christ of Fort Walton Beach, he whole-heartedly served as a deacon.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Anna J Morris; children: Mindi, Tori (husband, Alan Foster), Tommy, Jodi , (husband, Ben Kendrick), and Ronnie (wife, Karen Morris); grandchildren: Haley, Jake, Anna, Cooper, Jessica, Nikki, and Sydney; great grandchildren: Elijah, Levi, Henley, Madelyn, Emma, and Josie; and sister, Darlene Sambuco.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Edna; brothers, Ronnie and Larry; and life-long Friend, Carl “Buck” Robbins.
