Terry Doyle Obituary

Terry Doyle, 70, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida entered into eternal life, Thursday, April 22, 2021. He was born March 15, 1951 in Flint, Michigan to Jack and Mary (Egerer) Doyle where he retired from GM (General Motors). When you initially met Terry, you would describe him as wise, calm, and active, but funny. His unique personality is shown through his colorful suits and hidden talents. From his conversations, you would know he enjoyed hunting, sports, farming, gardening, and volunteering as a fireman with the Liberty Fire Department. Throughout his life, he was actively involved in his Christian faith. He traveled across the world on mission trips, taught the Bible to many, led youth groups, and revealed Christ through dramas. He had such a gentle, caring spirit that radiated through him. He saw each person as God sees them. Any passion you had, he was right there supporting you. If you needed anything, he had it or knew how to fix it. Terry was someone who had a lot of knowledge about life and was a teacher to anyone who wanted to learn. It is interesting to characterize him as fun, but oh so quiet at the same time. Most of the family’s memorable moments include Terry. In his younger years, he was the fun dad to be around. He took you to amusement parks, sporting events and held fireworks and Christmas displays for all to enjoy. If he was not in charge of the fun, he was involved in it. Everyone knew he cherished his family. Later in life, he became everyone’s favorite Papa. If you ask the grandkids where they got their holiday surprises they would say, Papa. If the grandkids had a game Papa would be right there guiding them and cheering them on. If you mentioned any sport, he had done it. He had experienced so much in his life that he loved to share with others. Even with many ailments from living life, he was a walking miracle. He embraced his Indian heritage, and he was respected as a wise chief in his family tribe.

The family that he met at the Gates of Heaven was his father, Jack Doyle; mother, Mary (Eagerer) Malone; and brother, Thomas Doyle.

Terry Doyle will be truly missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Marcia (Hilley) Doyle; and his children: Judea Kring (Robert), Amber Doyle, Terry Doyle Jr. (Jacqueline), Jordan Dunham (John); grandkids: Gabrielle Kilgore, Ravyn Spaid (Jesse), Destiny Mason, Terriny Mason, Lucus Mason, Ellagence Kring, Nevaeh Dunham, Jewellee Kring, Hayden Dunham, Olivia Doyle, and Nathaniel Doyle; and great-grandkids: Kaydance Woods, Jacity Spaid, Jaylee Spaid; and his brother, Samuel J. Doyle; and nephew Samuel J. Doyle II.

Terry was loved by so many. He will be greatly missed and will always be in our hearts and memories.
