Susan Joan Kracht

Susan Joan Kracht, 70, passed away peacefully at her home in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Born on February 27, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan, to Tom and Dorothy Kracht—though Sue mischievously loved telling people her birthday was February 29th—she was the cherished oldest of four children.

Sue grew up in Saint Clair Shores, graduating from Lakeview High School before attending Eastern Michigan University, where she studied occupational therapy. Her passion for healing led her to Life University in Atlanta, Georgia, where she earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic and certification in acupuncture. After practicing for 20 years in Lawrenceville, Georgia, she moved to Fort Walton Beach to join her family’s practice. There, she continued providing deep love and care to her community until the day she passed. Sue possessed the most kind, sincere, and truly compassionate heart, greeting the world with an open mind and open arms.

An ardent advocate for animals, Sue rescued many dogs and cats over the years. She dedicated her time volunteering with PAWS and found immense joy in treating beloved pets with veterinary chiropractic and acupuncture care.

Sue was a multi-talented artist who expressed her creativity through painting, drawing, creative writing, mosaics, and jewelry making. She poured that same creative energy into the earth, spending hours gardening and working in her yard. She delighted in growing and crafting thoughtful gifts for friends and family, including homegrown loofahs, sage sticks, lavender sachets, and an array of medicinal herbs.

Her vibrant social life was filled with community and laughter. An avid golfer, she thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie of her women’s golf group. For 20 years, she was a dedicated member of the Fort Walton Beach Mardi Gras Club, proudly reigning as their Queen in 2024.

Deeply spiritual, Sue found peace in meditation and cherished her time spent with her meditation circle. She regularly participated in full moon ceremonies with like-minded friends and felt a profound, close connection with the archangels. As a close friend beautifully noted, Sue truly danced to the beat of her own drum—and she absolutely owned it.

She is survived by her loving siblings, Cheryl Kracht, Thomas "Boogie" Audie, Karin Frisbee (Ed Frisbee), and Thomas "Chip" Kracht; her nieces and nephews, Christine Audie, Matt Audie, Matt Frisbee, Mary Keena Frisbee, Scott Frisbee, and Rebekah Schaefer; her adored great-nieces and nephews, Tristan, Ziggy, Lincoln, Winslet, Ita Sophia, and Avianna; and her faithful dog, Knox. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Tom and Dorothy.

The family extends a special and heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported Sue throughout this past year; your kindness meant the world to her, and she truly appreciated it. We will always remember Susie as a one-of-a-kind free spirit who is now watching over all of us from heaven.

Celebration of Life

A celebration of Sue's vibrant life will be held on August 8, 2026, at the home of Karin Frisbee, 112 Bayou Dr., Niceville, FL, beginning at 5:00 PM with a Reception to follow.
