Steven Risher Obituary

In Loving Memory of Steve

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven J. Risher, a beloved brother and cherished uncle, who left us on June 19, 2025. Steve was a beacon of kindness and generosity, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Born on October 25, 1954 in El Paso, Texas, Steve was the sixth child of Edward and Alice Risher. He spent his life making a positive impact on everyone he met. Though Steve had no children of his own, he was an incredible uncle to his fifty-three nieces and nephews, showering them with love, wisdom, and unforgettable memories.

Steve was a true knight in shining armor to friends and family alike.  Anytime someone needed help, he would drop everything and go where he was needed. He would travel across the country and spend weeks at a time doing whatever he could to be of service to his fellow man. He had a heart of gold.

Steve was known for his selflessness and unwavering support for family and friends, in particular his dedication to his “desperate housewives”.  He had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and valued, and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled.

Steve is survived by seven siblings, Barbara Sprecker (Tim), Dianne Lankford (Jim), Sheryl Howell (John), Debbie Peterson (Chip), Bill Risher (Tina), Chris Risher, and Mitzi Roth (Jeff), whom will forever cherish the moments and memories shared with him. His legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew him.  He joins his father and mother in heaven as well as his brothers, Clem, Rick and David.

A visitation and rosary are scheduled for Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Davis Watkins Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at Saint Mary Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 25th at 10:00 a.m. with interment at Beal Memorial Cemetery.

Rest in peace, Steve. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
