Steven Garcia Obituary

Steven Joseph Garcia, 52, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

He was born November 14, 1973, in Brooklyn, New York, to Louis and Gloria Garcia. He earned a bachelor's degree in business, which took him around the country, and finally to Florida, where he met Aimee Tabb at a friend's wedding in New Orleans. They fell in love and married on March 13, 2015, becoming a family with Cameron, Cole, and Stevie.

Steve's love of sports was the foundation for his greatest fatherly achievement, as a cheerleader for all the boys’ sports programs. He was well-known among the coaches and families for his unwavering love and support, often remembered as the loudest voice on the sidelines.

He worked hard to provide for his family. He was a thrill-seeker who was generous of spirit and passionate about the people around him. His favorite times were spent laughing with and indulging his loved ones.

He is survived by his wife, Aimee Tabb Garcia; his sons, Cameron Tabb (Leah), Cole Tabb (Taylor), and Steven Tabb Garcia, II; as well as his granddaughter, Mila and his forthcoming grandson, Alexander Jonathan Joseph.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louis W. Garcia, and is survived by his mother, Gloria DeJesus-Garcia. He is also survived by his brother, Louis “Willie” Garcia, Jr. (Deborah) and preceded in death by his brother, Anthony G. Garcia (Tina).

He is also mourned by an extensive extended family of both related and chosen loved ones.

Visitation will start at 3:00 pm, with the Celebration of Life and Reception following at 4:00 p.m. The family would appreciate if you bring your stories and memories of Steven to share with everyone as we remember the way he lived, fully and completely.
