Soncy Hunter Obituary

Soncy Jo Hunter, age 68, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center after a brief illness.

Soncy was born November 12, 1951 in Big Spring, Texas, to Dorothy and Earl Burgess. She married Larry Joe Hunter on July 10, 1970 and was the proud mother of two daughters, Jolanta Hunter Emanuel and Carolyn Hunter-Henslee.

Soncy is survived by her husband, Larry Joe Hunter of Fort Walton Beach; daughters, Jolanta (Ted) Emanuel of Freeport, Florida and Carolyn (Scott) Henslee of Dallas, Georgia; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

There will be no service at her request. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to Alaqua Animal Refuge in Freeport, Florida, Camp Merry Dogs in Bonifay, Florida, or another animal charity of your choice.
