Sharon Lee 'David' Stark ,79, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at home in Bob Hope Air Force Enlisted Village, Shalimar, Florida. Sharon was born Nov 2,1942, in Chrisman, IL, to Raymond and Wilmetta "Billie" (Dillon) David. She was united in marriage to Merrill Stark, Nov 7, 1959. Starting a new life as an Air Force wife, she adapted quickly to the frequent moves. She loved the military life and looked forward to challenges and adventures of each new assignment.
Sharon was an RN and an avid artist. (Her beautiful paintings are to be cherished.) She loved playing golf, hunting mushrooms, and gardening. After moving to Air Force Enlisted Village, Sharon cherished the wonderful time with friends and enjoyed the numerous activities sponsored by the Village.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Merrill, Shalimar Fl.; daughters, Rhonda Self, Vermilion Grove lL, Sharrie (Karl)Testa, Chicago; son-in-law, Ronald 'Sal' Saldivar, Vista, CA., Cindy (Tim) Harte, Santa Rosa, CA.; son, Owen Stark, Scottland, lL; grandchildren, Shalynn Sell, Maysville OK, Billie (Rebecca)Sell Pauls Vly, OK., Monica Brown (Robert), Des Plaines, lL, Tamaria Self Dean, OKC, Ronnie (Sylvia) Saldivar, Vista, CA., Jesika Saldivar, San Clemente, CA., Kyle Testa, Paris, lL, Keith Testa, Paris lL, Kara Testa Van Cley (Shaun) Oak Forest, lL and several great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Sharon's surviving siblings are Jerry (Wendy) David, Front Royal, VA., Tom (Kathy) David, Mattoon, lL, sister-in-law, Sharon David, Paris, lL, Kay (Dan) Clark Pleasantville PA., Rosemary (Jim) Higgins, Orange TX., Monica (Link) Callaway, Oakland lL., Janet Mullins, Mattoon, lL., Tim (Joanie) David, Charleston, lL., Lisa (Peter) Skuse, Lake Havasu, AZ., Jeff David, Pinckneyville, lL. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Aaron; daughter, Sonya; sister, Phyllis; brother, Joe David; brother in law, Bill 'Moon' Mullens; sister in law, Erica David and her beloved Maltase, Dusty.
A memorial service and interment will be at St. Aloysius Catholic Church and Cemetery, Rural Paris, Ill. The date will be announced at a later time.
