Life’s Journey
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Sharon Machelle Smith, also known as “Lady S”, in her home on December 24, 2025, at the age of 69 in Navarre, Florida. Born on August 4, 1956, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Charles Henry Snead Jr. and Irene Pleasant Snead. Sharon’s remarkable journey was defined by love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to family and friends.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member at Bethel Grove Baptist Church. During her time as a DJ, Sharon—known as Lady S—lived by her own words: she didn’t take any mess, kept her stress in check, and once she hit the microphone, she rocked the room until it was time to go home. And, as always… it didn’t stop.
Sharon made sure to enjoy the little things and always had a zest for life while spending the early years of her life in South Boston Virgina and here, she met her husband Larry B. Smith, who she later married July 22, 1972; and the adventure began.
