Sarah Frances Browning, 88, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026. She was born on April 27, 1938, in Huntington, West Virginia, to Claude and Edith Cantrell.

Sarah lived a life rooted in faith, service, and love for her family and community. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald G. Browning; her loving son, Ronald Steven Browning; her parents, Claude and Edith Cantrell; and her sister, Eleanor J. Ransom.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Deborah G. Khoulban, and her son, David L. Browning. She also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren: Nicole C. Browning, Ashley E. Wilkinson, who brought her immeasurable joy.

Sarah dedicated much of her life to serving others. For more than twenty years, she devoted countless hours to the Home Extension Services, where she held numerous leadership positions, including President and Vice President, Overall Advisory Board member, Foods and Nutritional Director, and Educational Director. Her commitment to education and community enrichment touched the lives of many.

She also worked for the Okaloosa County School District and in several merchandising companies throughout her career. Sarah enjoyed the fellowship of the Red Hat Society and treasured the many friendships she formed over the years.

A faithful member of Cinco Baptist Church since 1979, Sarah found great joy in worship and served faithfully as a member of the church choir. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life and guided her compassion, generosity, and unwavering love for others.

Sarah especially cherished staying connected with her many cousins and lifelong friends. Above all, her greatest pride and deepest joy came from her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her love, encouragement, and gentle spirit will continue to live on in each of them.
