Sara Tate De Niro, 82, died peacefully, March 20, 2020 in Fort Walton Beach, FL. She was born June 5, 1937 in Meridian, MS to Herman and Catherine Tate. Sara worked in the banking and mortgage business where she met her late husband, Frank De Niro. They enjoyed 24 yrs. together traveling and residing in South Florida.
Sara moved to Mary Esther in 2006, she was an avid reader and enjoyed card games, sewing, gardening and loved spending her summers on the boat here on the Emerald Coast with her family.
Sara is survived by her two sons, Robert and William Peacock; her daughter-in-law, Jape Peacock; grandchildren, Taylor and Julia Peacock; two great-grandchildren, Ryeland and Isabella; two sisters, Joy Castleberry and Bonnie stokes as well as her great friend Becky Borders.
A special thank you to her caregiver Kim Hall, Brookdale staff, Emerald Coast Hospice and Dr. Williams Stiles during the past year. Sara along with her sweet southern, sassy ways, and witty sayings will be greatly missed.
