Ruth “Bobbie” Imogene (Crawford) Edmonston

“Bobbie” Ruth Imogene Edmonston passed away on October 27, 2023 in Jacksonville, Florida. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Hazel Crawford of Caraway, Arkansas, and her husband, George Edmonston. Bobbie is survived by her son, Anthony Edmonston and wife, Julia of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; daughter, Melanie Mabe and husband, Ken of Georgetown, Texas; grandchildren, Eaton and Spencer Bates, Cilla Poppell, and Ashley Campbell; three great grandchildren, Owen Bates, Crawford Campbell, and James Poppell; and her sisters, Betty Riggs and Louise Medlin.

Bobbie graduated from Central High School in Caraway, Arkansas in 1948. She obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Arkansas State University. She taught Exceptional Student Education in the Okaloosa County School System for twenty-four years. Additionally, Bobbie taught Adult - English as a Second Language for many years at night.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Friday, November 24, 2023 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Davis-Watkins Funeral Home. Davis-Watkins is located at 113 Racetrack Road Northeast, Fort Walton Beach, Florida. There will be a private family graveside service.
