It is with heavy hearts we share the news of the death of Rosemary Patricia Rott (nee Bull) on April 4, 2024 at the age of 83, of heart failure.
Born in Buckden, England to Lucy and Walter Bull, Rosemary grew up with two beloved, younger sisters; Valerie and Alison. She relished being “Auntie Rosemary” to her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
In 1967, she went on an almost-canceled blind date with a young American GI aircraft mechanic, and they were married six months later. Rosemary and Al had recently celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary.
Son, Duane, of Pearland, Texas, and daughter Donna (m. John) of Independence, Kentucky, cherish the many fond memories they have of their mom. She made them delightful birthday cakes, was a frequent chaperone for field trips, and as adults, was always there to chat or talk through a problem.
Rosemary was a professional seamstress that loved making special things for friends and family, from wedding and bridesmaid dresses, to flags for the Niceville High School marching band, to a particularly memorable reindeer costume for a Christmas parade.
She enjoyed reading, spending time with friends, and doing puzzles of all sorts. Rosemary and Al traveled often, and particularly loved going on cruises. She was also a great baker, famous for her excellent sausage rolls. She was a proud survivor of breast cancer.
Rosemary was not one to be at the center of attention, so in accordance with her wishes, there will not be a memorial service. Ashes will be spread privately. The family suggests that in remembrance of her, take the time to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you.
