Ronnie Brannon, Sr. Obituary

Ronnie Brannon, Sr., a veteran, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 75 on Monday, April 5, 2021. He was born on July 5, 1945 in Perry, Georgia to Willie Jerry Brannon and Inez Marshall Brannon. He retired from Haliburton, Brown & Root Oil Company, based in Houston, Texas, after more than 20 years of service. His retirement years were spent as an owner and operator of Freeport Industries with his two sons, Scott and Ronnie Jr. as his partners. Ronnie was a member of Masonic Lodge, Herman 108. When he wasn’t spending time with his friends and family, he was a part-time farmer and loved working on his land. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Willie and Inez Brannon; and his brothers, Charles Brannon and Lewis Brannon.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; three brothers, Jerry Brannon, Ted Brannon, and Dwight Brannon and wife Carol; one sister, Ann Tuttle; two sons, Ronnie Brannon Jr. and wife Jenny, and Scott Aaron Brannon and Ashley Roehm; his stepson, Tommy McCormick and wife Marcela; two stepdaughters, Brenda Sibley and husband Larry, and Tammy Lemos; three grandchildren, Thomas Brannon, Katy Brannon, and Sarah Brannon; four step-grandchildren Max Zalmanoff, Caitlin Zalmanoff, Jake Lemos, and Alessandra McCormick; two step-great-grandchildren Emma Sanders, and Asher Sanders, mother of his children, Carol Cooper; and beloved dog, Buffy.

A graveside service will be held at Hatcher Cemetery in Freeport, Florida Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 2pm. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be sent to Masonic Lodge, Herman 108, in Freeport, Florida. Those asked to serve as pallbearers: Ron Brannon Jr., Scott Brannon, Thomas Brannon, Tom McCormick, Gus Andrews, Clayton Adkinson, David Kelley, and Mickey Marse.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
