Ronald Max Reeves, age 78, went to be with the Lord, and his loving wife on July 23, 2022. Ron, as many knew him, proudly served his country in the United States Military. He served three tours in Vietnam from 1964-1967. After his Navy active-duty service was completed, he then joined the Naval Reserves. Once his enlistment in the Navy reserves ended, he joined the United States Air Force Reserves. Eventually, he once again joined the Naval Reserves until his wife, Joyce, became ill. In his career, he spent over thirty three years of service for the government, with the bulk of it in the civil service.
He is survived by his sons, Christian and wife, Nicole Reeve, and Justin and wife, Robyn Reeves; eleven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
He is preceeded in death by his parents, Max Allen and Ruth (Venable) Reeves; brothers, Marvin Reeves and Sam Reeves; his wife, Ellen Joyce (Mikle) Reeves; as well as two of his sons, Scott Curtis Reeves, and Kevin Lamar Reeves.
A time of visitation will be held Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 7 until 9 p.m. in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Crestview Memorial, 492 E Pine Ave, Crestview Florida. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m., Friday, August 5, 2022, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3 Del Cerro Camino, Crestview, Florida. Committal services will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery, 5782 Old Bethel Road, Crestview, Florida.
