Rodney Paul Fuqua

Rodney was born on August 11,1954 and passed away on May 28, 2022, in Panama City, Florida at Bay Medical Center. Rodney was surrounded by his daughter, family, and loving doctors and nurses.

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper Paul Fuqua and Deloris Walton Fuqua.

He is survived by his only child, Dawn Gardner (Bobby), and her mother, Karen Armstrong; three grandchildren, Madison, Hunter, and Bella; sister, Paula Syfrett (Rodney); nephews, Paul (Christine), David (Alex), and Daniel; and girlfriend, Katrina.

Rodney graduated from Merced High in 1974, then joined the United States Air Force in 1975, where he served for seventeen years; retiring in 1994.  Beginning his career in pest control, Rodney worked for Terminix, then started his own business as CEO of Bay Area Pest Control.

Rodney’s funeral service will be at Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Road NE, Fort Walton Beach, FL, on Wednesday June 8,2022 at 11:00 a.m.  He will be laid to rest at Barrancas National Cemetery with full military honors.
