Rockford "Rocky" Chester Stillings

Rockford “Rocky” Chester Stillings of Fort Walton Beach, FL passed away on August 23, 2020 at the age of 92. He was born March 14, 1928 to parents, Chester and Leona Stillings of Littleton, NH.  

Rocky married Barbara Hackney on February 3, 1957 in DeFuniak Springs, FL and they spent 63 wonderful years together.

Rocky started his career in the Air Force, serving as a pilot in the Korean War and then continued into civil service as a construction engineer at Eglin AFB. He was known for his ability to fix just about anything.  He had a heart of gold, always helping out his family, friends and neighbors with projects. He loved water sports, working on cars, antique furniture and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Everyone that met Rocky was changed for the better as he had an infectious personality. Rocky was an amazing husband, father and grandfather and he will be missed by all that knew him.

Rocky is survived by his wife, Barbara; his children, Eileen Cox, Matt Stillings and Mark Stillings (wife, Vicki); grandchildren, Lauren Stillings, George Stillings, Paul Cox, David Cox and Sean Stillings; siblings, Carleton Stillings, Leonard Stillings, Alston “Buster” Stillings and Meredith Langevin.

A small family only service will be held at a later date.
