Robert Lee Wilson, 75, of Crestview, Florida, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022. He was born in Oakland, California June 16, 1947 to Robert Wilson and Sylvia Lince. After graduating from Hayward High School, Robert proudly served 24 years in the United States Air Force, also fighting in Vietnam. Upon retirement from the military, he worked in the construction industry before fully retiring in 2008. He was a faithful member of New Life Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, George Lince-Lindsay and Camille Lince-Lindsay; and his son, Rondell Wilson.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Deadra Wilson; children, Rachelle Smith, Carlos Rachal (Tamica), Sterling Rachal (Angela), Derrick Grimes, Sr., Tania Eastman (Robert), Katrina Raines (Paul), Edward Grimes, Sr. (Roshell), Keanna Grimes-Hilliard, and daughter-in-law, Gail; grandchildren, Asia Parker, Dorian Smith, Mark Ivory Smith, Cherrelle Wilson, Sade Wilson, Malik Wilson, Cheyanne Rachal, Imani Rachal, Jasmine Rachal, Jordan Rachal, Derrick Grimes, Jr., Patricia Grimes, Zoe Grimes, Deadra Colucci (Ashten), Sadee Grimes, Kyle Eastman, Caleb Eastman, Angel Eastman, Mycha Raines, Christopher Raines, Collin Raines, Jordyn Walls, Isaiah Grimes, Jariyiah Grimes-Lovely, Nykeria Grimes, and Edward Grimes, Jr.; thirteen great-grandchildren; aunt, Beverly Fowlkes; sister-in-law, Debra Lee; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and close friends.
A time of visitation will be held Friday, July 1, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Crestview Memorial, 492 East Pine Avenue, Crestview, Florida 32539.
Funeral services will be held beginning at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022, at First Church of God in Christ, 986 Bay Street, Crestview, Florida 32539.
Graveside services will be held Friday, July 15, 2022 at Barrancas National Cemetery beginning at 10:30 a.m. with full military honors provided by the United States Air Force.
