Obituary

Robert Todd Weiland passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at the Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Destin, Florida surrounded by his children, Jennifer Skillman and Todd Weiland. Robert was born on September 6,1935 to the late Francis and Virginia Weiland.

Graduating from St. Mary’s High School in 1953, Robert worked his entire life as a plumber/pipe fitter. He was a member of Local Plumber and PipefittersUnion 189.

Finally in 1995, he retired and then made his home in Destin, Florida in 1996. While in Florida, Robert made many friends at the gym and the restaurants, where he and his friend, Paulina, frequented. They’re all gone now, but we are certain that they are all reunited.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Skillman of Lawrenceville, Georgia and son, Todd Weiland (Amy) of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; as well as six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also, surviving is a sister, Mary Theresa Franklin (Jeff) and a brother, Tim Weiland (Mary).

A celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at The Boathouse in Destin. Caring cremation will take place at Davis-Watkins Funeral Home in Miramar Beach, Florida.
