From there, Robert served in the United States Army as a Sergeant from 1983 until 1994. He received the Soldier’s Medal, specifically for rescuing people from a burning building in Kaiserslautern, Germany, which is one of the highest honors. Robert also received other certificates and awards in the Army. After serving in the army, he started his own construction business, mostly roofing.
