Robert Francis Bertrang

Robert Francis Bertrang, age 92, long-time resident of Crestview, Florida was called home by his Heavenly Father on Monday, July 6, 2020. Bob was born on May 25, 1928 in Watertown, South Dakota, to Peter Mathias Bertrang and Barbara Mary Ruhland. Bob enlisted in the Army Air Corps in November 1946 as a flight engineer, then in the Air Force as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning/Heating Specialist. After 30 years of Air Force Service, he retired as a Senior Master Sergeant working as a Mechanical Superintendent. Upon retiring, he and his wife, Faye, moved to Crestview, FL where they have resided since.

Bob comes from a large family, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kaye Lynn, his parents, and 5 of his siblings.

He leaves behind Barbara Jean Oie in Minneapolis, MN. He is survived by his wife of 68 years and his daughter, Debbie (Bob) Armor of Fort Walton Beach, FL and two granddaughters, Jennifer (Brad) Chicoine of Milton, GA and Erin (Chris) Edelen of Perry, FL; five great-grandchildren, David, Jerhyn, Alyssa, Christopher, and Jacob.

Funeral services with the immediate family on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 1:30pm at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola Naval Station, Pensacola, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to have a Mass said for Bob at your local Parish.
