Richard Brambley Obituary

Richard W. Brambley, Jr, 80, of Miramar Beach, FL and Atlanta, GA passed peacefully on
February 23, 2025 Mr. Brambley (Rick) was born in Bennington, VT on February 7, 1945, where he spent his summers
with his grandparents, Howard and Elsa Estes and his many aunts, uncles and cousins. Rick grew up in Philadelphia, PA with his parents, Richard W. (Dick) and Barbara Brambley. He
attended local schools, including Frankford High School, and graduated in 1962. Rick married his high school sweetheart, Joanne Semsey (class of 1963), in February 1965, and
they recently celebrated 60 years together on February 13. Along with his wife, Joanne, Rick is survived by their four children: Rich and Marilee Brambley of Dacula, GA; Jim Brambley of Atlanta, GA; Bonnie and Stephen Phillips of Johns Creek, GA; and Tom
and Erin Brambley of Panama City, FL. Rick stayed very active raising his four children. He coached them and their teams when they played baseball and basketball on various county teams, local leagues, AAU and school teams. His
motto was "never quit."
Rick also loved his eight Grandchildren dearly: Zachary and Cooper Brambley, Stella Brambley, Courtney and Riley Phillips; and Nick, Zack, and
Mia Pendleton. He has a surviving sister, Sherry Suroviec and husband, Steve Suroviec, and two married nieces,
Danielle Martin and Steffanie Tierney. Rick always had a joyful personality and was loved deeply by his wife, neighbors, friends and family. He never had an enemy. During his business career he and Joanne lived in many cities
(including 3 times in Atlanta, GA) where he had many friends, close associates and golf buddies.
They retired and moved to Florida in 2006. Rick was a member of Indian Bayou Golf Club in Destin, FL and attended Resurrection Catholic
Church in Miramar Beach, FL.
