Rachel (Fayard) Johns

Rachel Fayard Johns left our world way to early to meet with her Dad, Grandma, Paw Paw and many others that she loved so much.

Rachel was born on March 3, 1988, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Stephen Joseph Fayard and Joan Palkowski Jones.  She lived in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, until she was three and then moved to Fort Walton Beach, Florida, where she remained until the time of her passing on September 26, 2020.

Her maternal grandmother, Sylvia A. Palkowski, and grandfather, David P. Palkowski, Sr., preceded in her death, as did her father, Stephen Joseph Fayard, paternal grandfather, Thomas Archie Fayard, and grandmother, Patricia Dolan Fayard.

Rachel is survived by her daughter, Jayla N. Johns; her sister, Jessica Fayard; her mother and step father, Joan P Jones and Rodney A. Jones; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She touched many, many lives and will be greatly missed. Her free and loving spirit will continue to touch us, always.

The family will receive friends at Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 113 NE Racetrack Road, Fort Walton Beach, FL, on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 from 5 to 7 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, 110 St Mary Ave SW, Fort Walton Beach, FL on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 1 pm followed by interment at Heritage Gardens Cemetery, Niceville, FL.  Please follow social distancing guidelines and masks are to be worn.
