Phillip Eliphalet Hunter, age 77, of Crestview, Florida, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020, at the North Okaloosa Medical Center, with his family at his side. He was born on November 19, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Phillip retired from the United States Air Force after honorably serving 29.5 years. He achieved the highest enlisted rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He was a combat veteran who served in Vietnam. He lived his life taking care of his wife and children, always placing the needs of his family over his own.
Phillip is survived by his wife of 54 years, Argentina, and his children Tammie, Kenneth, Jennie, Liberty, his 9 grandchildren, and his brother, David.
A time of visitation will be held Sunday, September 27, 2020, in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Crestview Memorial, 492 East Pine Ave, Crestview, Florida 32539, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, September 28, 2020, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Reverend Father Roy Marien as celebrant. Full military honors will be provided by the United States Air Force.
