Paul "Hutch" Douglas Hutchinson

Paul Douglas Hutchinson, age 71, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He was born November 9, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Joseph M. and Venia Hutchinson. During football season, he watched and cheered for his favorite college team, the Alabama Crimson Tide. Family time was important to him. Having cookouts and sharing time with his family and friends were events he always looked forward to hosting. Listening to music while sitting on the porch was relaxing for him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Joe Donald Hutchinson.

Paul is survived by his wife, Kaye Hutchinson; one son, Coty Hutchinson and wife, Reba; three daughters, Paula Wiggins and husband, Ricky, Hannah Hattaway and husband, Anthony, and Tessa Hutchinson and husband, Donovan; five grandchildren, Tristan, Taylor, Fawn, Wren, and Flint; one brother, Charlie Hutchinson and wife, Fran; and two sisters, Barbara Cassidy and Gail Gillman.

A celebration of Paul's life will be held Thursday, August 14, 2025 in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida beginning at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Kevin Tolley officiating.  A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army.
