Paul Linton Gantt entered this world on April 18,1953 in Monticello, Georgia to Tom and Lena Gantt. He went home peacefully on February 4, 2025, at the age of 71 years young. He accepted Christ at a young age at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Monticello, Georgia.
After high school, Paul enlisted in the United States Air Force for twenty years and one month. After retirement, he entered civil service where he worked twenty-six, additional years at the Eglin Air Force Base and Hurlburt Field Commissaries.
During his military and civilian government career, he achieved numerous medals including Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, and National Defense Service Medal.
Paul had a passion for electronic gadgets, fishing, and playing the keyboard and trumpet. He loved spending time with family and friends while making a lasting impact on everyone he met.
He is survived by his two daughters: Jeannie Scott (Jolando), and Syreeta Gantt-Miles (Jeffrey); siblings: Johnnie Mae Goolsby (Otis-d), Rachel Thompkins (George), and Doris Rivers (Johnny-d); grandchildren: Marcus, Crystal, Jasmine, Keira, Isaac, Markeis, Kelston, Jala, and Layla; as well as, great grandchildren: Kalli, Amiya, and Meleah.
He is preceded in death by siblings: Ralph Gantt, Tommie Lee Gantt (Rosa), Helen Reddish (Charles), Patricia Roberts (Paul-d), and Dorothy Mae Bailey.
Paul had a special place in his heart for all his numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, especially, Sue Lena, whom was more like a daughter instead of his niece.
Visitation will be held at Davis Watkins Funeral Home on February 14, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. Service will commence at 10:00 a.m., while burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Florida at 2:00 p.m.
