Patrick (Pat) Joseph Sharpe

Patrick (Pat)Joseph Sharpe, age 58, of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida peacefully passed away at home on June 18, 2020.  He was born with his twin sister Erin in College Park, Maryland at Fort Meade, Maryland on March 17, 1962 to Lawrence Austin Sharpe, Sr.  and Rita Ann Sharpe.  He met the love of his life, Sandy Roberts, in Tallahassee Florida and they were married on April 20, 1985.

Pat received his AA degree at Tallahassee Community College and took classes at Florida State University. He was always serving people. Pat worked in the restaurant business, starting as a server. He worked his way up to General Manager at Applebee's and then Director of Operations at TGI Friday's, where he was responsible for three stores and over 500 employees. Pat was awarded the top General Manager of the Southeast Region for the United States for TGI Friday's International for two years in a row.

He loved to fish, he loved wildlife, birds, big foot shows, surfing, the beach, national geographic and his family, and boy did he have a large family. His dimples, blue eyes, infectious smile and his humor got him a long way, as well as his charm and sensitivity.

He always went out of his way to help and serve people as his Lord and Savior would want. Pat always said, "My bags are packed, I know where I'm going."

Pat is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Sandy Sharpe; his children, Austin Sharpe, Savannah Sharpe Rasbeck and her husband Jake Rasbeck; and his grandchild Lucas; and his mother, Rita Ann Sharpe. Pat leaves behind seven siblings, Lara, Larry, Tom, Mike, Jeff, Erin and Martin; sisters-in-law, Liz Sharpe, BJ Sharpe, Jane Sharpe, and Stacey Klotz; lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous friends and loved ones, including his two pets, Butter Bean and Tangowango.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Austin Sharpe, Sr.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, June 28, 2020 starting at 3:00 p.m., at Angler's Beachside Grill, 1030 Miracle Strip Parkway SE, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, 32548.
