Obituary
In the early morning of May 4, 2023, Patricia Louise Smitherman, 77, of Shalimar, Florida, left this world peacefully and is now at rest. She passed at HCA Florida Healthcare facility due to heart complications.
Patricia (Pat) was born in Foley, Alabama in 1946 to parents, Austin Melvin and Dollie May Fell. The family moved to Shalimar, Florida when Pat was 8 years old, where she lived out the rest of her life. Pat attended and graduated from Choctawhatchee High School in 1964. Soon after, she met Thomas Smitherman, who became her husband in 1966. They were married for thirty-eight years until his passing in 2005. They had one daughter, Paige Smitherman. Pat was a fantastic homemaker and mother and took great pride in creating a beautiful home for her family.
Patricia is predeceased by her father, “Buck” and her mother, Dollie; her husband, Tom; and her eldest sister, Ann Adams.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Paige; her sister, Sue Fell Wilson of Pace, Florida; her brother, David Fell of Tallahassee, Florida; and many, beloved nieces and nephews.
