Patricia Jean (Agosta) Hicks

Patricia (Pat) Hicks, age 74, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025 at her home. She was born February 21, 1951 to the late Joseph and Jean Agosta in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school at Choctawhatchee, she got her teaching degree and returned to Choctaw, where she taught special needs students for 35 years. Her love and compassion touched countless lives. Pat’s greatest joys were being a Mom and a Nana. She excelled at both. Her love for her family will live on in their lives. 

Pat is survived by her husband, Dave; a daughter, Lindy (Matt); and three precious grandchildren, Emily, Bryson and Parker. She is also survived by a sister, Joanna, and her family.

Per her request, no services will be held except an immediate family celebration at Barrancas at a time to be determined later.

Special recognition and gratitude goes out to Gentiva Hospice, especially Chrissy and Jessica, for the assistance as Pat neared the end of this life.
