Patricia Garrett Evans

Patricia Garrett Evans, age 80, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at her residence. She was born March 4, 1945, in Walton County, Florida. Pat enjoyed spending time in the mountains of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. In her spare time, she liked to read, but most of all loved shopping, playing bingo and spending time with family and loved ones. 

Pat is preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Garrett.

She is survived by her loving husband, Edward Wayne Evans; step-daughter, Cassandra Brown (Marty); three children, Pam Finch, Cheryl Whitworth (Gerald), and Karen Goodson; six grandchildren, Kayla Jackson (Zack), Lathan Finch (Liz), Ashton Evans, Bradlee Goodson, Chandler Evans, and Brandon Goodson; three great grandchildren, Carver Jackson, Wendell Jackson, and Mia Finch; and lifelong friend, Bobbie Mundie; along with several special friends and extended family.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2025, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Heritage Church, 926 County Highway 83A West, Freeport, Florida. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Committal will follow at Hatcher Cemetery.
