Ola Lee Simpler, age 80, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away Monday, January 20, 2020. She was born May 3, 1939, to James Ollis and Jessie Lois Donaldson Reeves. Ola enjoyed quilting, spending time studying her Bible, and absolutely loved riding the roads.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Brenda Hutchinson, and brother-in-law, Jim Leddon.
Ola is survived by two daughters, Lola Weaver and husband Rudy and Betty Martin and husband Donald; five grandchildren, Chasity Farro and husband Joe, Blake Weaver and wife Jennifer, Justin Bunn, Jessie Weaver, and Leigh Anne Hartman and husband AJ; ten great-grandchildren, Travis (Montana), Aiden, Bailey, Bryson, Brinley, Jordyn, Kinsley, Colton, Braden, and Brody; one great-great-granddaughter, Raleigh; three sisters, Sue Hudson and husband Bill, Faye Leddon, and Ann White; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020, at Bethel Baptist Church in Kinston, Alabama, beginning at 3:00 p. m. with Minister Joel Davis. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior. Committal services will follow at the Bethel Church Cemetery. Those asked to serve as pallbearers: Blake Weaver, Justin Bunn, AJ Hartman, Travis LeMay, Aiden Farro, and Curt Owens.
