Nicole Suzanne Walters passed away in Destin on Thursday, November 12, 2020. She was born in Erie, Pa on December 27, 1972.
Nicole attended Rolling Ridge Elementary School and Harborcreek Jr & Sr High School graduating in 1991. Studied at Penn State Behrend College and later continued her education while at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany. Nicole was a flight nurse during Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield returning to Eglin AFB to complete her tour of duty. She renewed her service in the USAF reserve unit at Eglin.
Nicole attained her Florida CAM license and worked as a property manager for several condominium associations for 20 years. She continued her education at Northwest Florida University graduating with a degree in Management & Supervision Health Care Management BAS. Most recently she was managing Dolphin Point Condominiums on Holiday Isle.
Nicole played as a catcher in softball for youth teams, throughout high school and on a military coed team. She was a member of the Harborcreek High School Choir, studied ballet and jazz at Little Dance Studio. She played pool for the Starcade Critters in the Playground 8 Ball League. Her team were League Champs several years.
Nicole was a huge Steeler fan, animal lover, an avid video gamer, music buff and loved movies, especially Star Wars. She enjoyed singing karaoke. Her favorite artist was Patsy Cline. She also enjoyed traveling, fishing, and boating and any time she could spend with her niece and nephews. She cherished her beloved Mustang.
Nicole is survived by her life partner, Shelley Murphy of Miramar Beach; her parents, Robert and Ellen Walters; brothers, Matthew Walters (Jessica) and Joshua Walters (Heather); niece, Devyn Peskorski; and nephews, Owen Walters, Christian Walters and Evan Walters all of Erie, Pa, her hometown.
A Beach Bonfire will be held as a Celebration of Nicole's life located on the beach across from Amalfi Coast Condominiums (Public Beach Access #50) on Scenic Gulf Drive, Miramar Beach, Thursday November 19, 2020 from 4-7 pm. We ask that friends, co-workers and colleagues of Nicole's to join us and share in the celebration of her life.
Refreshments, smores, and lawn chairs will be on location as well. Feel free to bring your own cooler. We ask that in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Epilepsy Foundation or a charity of your choice in Nicole's memory.
