Minnie Lefay Abercrombie, 58, a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away in peace on Thursday, January 30, 2020, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida after a sudden illness. Minnie was born in Tampa, Florida on February 1, 1961, to parents, Bobby Earl and Margaret Ann Abercrombie. Minnie will be fondly remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. Minnie was a life-long animal lover and collector of old things. She also loved fried chicken.
Minnie is preceded by one son, Ricky Allen Abercrombie; one daughter, Rebecca Abercrombie; father, Bobby Earl Abercrombie; one brother, Robert Earl Abercrombie; grandparents, Glover and Minnie Abercrombie; grandparents, Alma and Tulley Fountain, and one niece, Kaliean Mendoza.
Minnie is survived by two sons, Chris Abercrombie and Jessie Abercrombie and wife Jenny; one daughter, Amanda Chamberlain and husband Jake; two grandsons, Austin Grant and Levi Chamberlain; one granddaughter, Emily Chamberlain; mother, Margaret Abercrombie; two brothers, Richard Adams and wife Jacquline and Roger Adams; two sisters, Marie Post and husband David and Shannon and husband, Rafael Medina; several nieces; nephews; cousins; aunts; uncles; and friends.
A celebration of Minnie’s life was held Feb. 1, 2020.
