Michael " Mick" E. Pizar Jr.

Michael E. Pizar Junior (“Mick”) of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, passed away on June 26th due to complications following surgery.

Mick was born on May 6th, 1938 to Michael E. Pizar Sr. and Yvette (Carrier) Pizar in Providence, RI. After graduating from Providence High School, Mick attended Springfield College in MA. After college, Mick served in the United States Army. Beginning in 1965, Mick joined Delta Airlines in Atlanta where he served 30 years in passenger service. Upon retirement, Mick worked at the Delta Employees Credit Union [DECU] in Peachtree City.

Mick loved his eight grand children dearly. His hobbies included fishing and golfing and he was passionate about the Atlanta Falcons.

Mick is survived by his wife, Gail [Burkhardt]; daughter, Renee Reeves [Alan] and their children, Dylan, Anniston, Hayden, Landen, Casen, Braelinn; daughter, Danielle Weir [Robert John Jr.] and their children Whitley and Robert John Weir III.

Please join us on July 8th for Mick’s Celebration of Life Service located at his favorite golf course, Flat Creek Country Club, in Peachtree City, GA. Pastor John Weber will be hosting the service with all friends and family at 1:00 PM. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served and good memories will be shared.
