Michael Holland McIntosh, Sr. passed away peacefully at his home in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
Mr. Mike was born January 10,1949 in Columbia, South Carolina to Celeste and Harper McIntosh. Michael attended A.C. Flora High School in Columbia as well as the University of South Carolina. Michael spent most of his life in the automobile industry beginning with working in Sales for Pulliam Ford where he won the Grand Master award twice. Michael later opened his own automobile dealerships for sales, service and rentals in both Columbia as well as Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where he retired after owning for thirty years.
Most recently “Mr. Mike” owned and operated Mr. Mike’s Transportation here in Northwest Florida. Others know him as “Casino Mike”, known for setting up trips to Las Vegas as an Independent Marketing Representative for Caesar’s Entertainment. Family often received calls from friends letting them know that they heard Mr. Mike over the PA system when he worked at the local Winn-Dixie’s seafood department. Mike was also known as “Big Mac” from his years spent as an Assistant Scout Master with Boy Scout Troop #324, as well as involvement with the Muscogee Lodge #221 for the Order of the Arrow.
In his spare time, Mike loved trips to Disney World, Las Vegas and going on cruises with the family. He was a big fan of classic rock music especially Elvis Presley. Mike was an avid supporter of the sports teams of the University of South Carolina and was a season ticket holder for the football program until moving to Florida in 2008.
Mike is survived by his wife, Janice Neal McIntosh, as well as sons, Michael McIntosh, Jr. (Kimberly McIntosh) and James “Jamie” McIntosh (Rebecca McIntosh); his brother, Alex McIntosh (Pat); three grandchildren, Michael “Hayden” McIntosh, Abigail McIntosh and Dylan McIntosh; and two step-grandchildren, Bella Bingham and Maggie Ellen Bingham.
The family will be having a Celebration of Life for Michael on Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in Freeport, Florida.
