Michael D. Lucchesi, Ph.D. of Crestview, Florida, passed away April 5, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving wife and family after a courageous battle with Stage 4 prostate cancer.
Michael was born May 21, 1964 to Elaine and Arthur Lucchesi in Bellows Falls, Vermont.
He left home at the age of 18 to enlist in the United States Air Force. Using his G.I. Bill, he achieved an associates degree from Community College of Air Force, a bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management from Park University, and a masters degree in Logistics Management from Florida Institute. He received his Ph.D. from Cappella University in Organizational Management. He served 30 years in the United States Air Force with his final assignment served in the Pentagon as the Air Force's Career Field Manager for Aircraft Armament Systems, then went on to be the Director of Grant Development for Academia.
Michael is survived by his wife Sengourom "Mimi" Lucchesi; parents, Elaine and Arthur Lucchesi; brother, James; sisters, Diane and Gina; children, Joshua Lucchesi, Lillian Lucchesi, Chris Amphay, Adrian Lee, and Jordan Disney.
Michael will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery with a date to be announced in the future.
Celebration of Life and Legacy will be held at the American Legion, 898 East James Lee Boulevard, Crestview, Florida on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 2:00 P.M.- 7:00 P.M.
