Michael Anthony Herard, Sr.

Mr. Michael Anthony Herard, Sr., son of Doris Herard (neé Perreault) and Raymond G. Herard, Jr., was born on September 5,1955 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. He attended school in Burrillville, where he graduated in 1975 before joining the United States Army. 

Michael enjoyed the simple things in life like spending time with loved ones, laughing with friends and family around a campfire, and playing with his dog. He was an avid sports fan who liked watching NASCAR as well as New England sports teams -- particularly the Boston Red Sox. He loved the great outdoors and could often be found camping, fishing, and kayaking with his children.

Michael is survived by his sons, Michael, Jr. and Timothy; his daughter, Rebecca and her husband, Brady Pugh; his ex-wife, Sherry-Lynn McKenzie; his brother, David and his wife, Melissa; his sister, Karen and her husband, Leo Pelletier; and his nephews and nieces, Peter, Kerry-Leigh, Mark Jr., Lee, Raymond, Ryan, Amanda, and Eyan. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Mark; and his nephew, David, Jr. 

The funeral mass will be held at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church in Pensacola, Florida on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 1:00 p.m., with Father Raymond Herard (his nephew) being his Celebrant. The Committal will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery at NAS Pensacola.
