Michael Dorsey Obituary

Michael E. Dorsey, age 68, of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, passed away on April 26. 2021 in Pensacola, Florida. Mike was born on September 27, 1952 in Atlanta, Georgia. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Georgia State University. Mike was a decorated veteran and proud to serve in the US Marines. He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt deer. Mike’s favorite pastime was watching John Wayne movies. Most of all, he loved his family. Mike was a loving father, son, brother and uncle.

Mike is survived by his son, Jeremy Spradlin of Alpharetta, Georgia; mother, JoAnn Thrasher Dorsey of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; brother, Charles Dorsey of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; sister, Sandra (Bobby) Ostrander of Peachtree City, Georgia; and nieces, Brittany and Ashley Ostrander of Peachtree City, Georgia; and nephew, Aaron Ostrander of Peachtree City, Georgia.

To honor Mike’s wishes the family will hold private services.
