Michael Wayne Bloodsworth

Michael Wayne Bloodsworth, age 54, of DeFuniak Springs, passed away suddenly Monday, March 13, 2023. He was born November 10, 1968 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, to Winston Bloodsworth and Johnnie Merle Powell Brown. Michael was a graduate of Walton County High School. He was a laid back person who loved to laugh and joke around. A truck driver for Walton County, he loved his job and enjoyed his co-workers. He loved to fish and have friends and family over for cookouts. Michael appreciated the simple things in life and one of his favorite pastimes was listen to country music while sitting outside with those he loved gathered around. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, William Just and Barry Morgan.

Michael is survived by his son, Michael Martin; one sister, Theresa Churchill; niece, Angela Just; nephew, Kevin Just; girlfriend, Janiffer Neely; grandchildren, Salem Martin and Ryker-Rhett Martin; and first wife, Aline Bloodsworth.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 31, 2023, beginning at 12:00 p.m., in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida, with Pastor Dale Paul officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Committal services will follow at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Westville.
